Mahalo Hula

Mahalo Hula started life when I was 12 years old in a souvenir shop in Ocean City Maryland.    Behind the beer bongs and laser pointers there was a Hawaiian themed canvas shoe. Its simple tropical design and ocean scene captured me and I wanted them immediately.  The response I received from my mother was expected but not positive. “Why would you ever buy shoes at some overpriced souvenir store?”   

The Mahalo Hula design is an attempt to capture that exotic feeling from when I was 12.
